About

Pt. Enis Çalışkan

I graduated with honours from İstinye University's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2021. My interest has centred on the musculoskeletal system and manual therapy since my undergraduate years; after graduating I gained experience across several clinics in Istanbul and continued my professional development through certified training. Since 2023 I have been seeing patients at my practice in Beşiktaş, with a focus on manual therapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Assessment is the compass of treatment. Every body tells a story, and without understanding that story it is impossible to find the right direction.

Approach

Why This Approach?

Evidence-based

Treatment choices follow current scientific evidence and clinical guidelines; how far each approach is applied is determined by individual assessment.

Biopsychosocial

Rather than reducing a complaint to a single region, assessment considers the body, lifestyle and psychosocial factors as a whole.

Individualised and active participation

Instead of a ready-made protocol, a plan shaped around the person's goals; patient education and active participation are central.

Process

How the Process Works

  1. 1

    Appointment

Get in touch by phone, WhatsApp or the form, and an appointment is arranged.

  2. 2

    Assessment

At the first session your concerns are discussed and the source is analysed through clinical assessment.

  3. 3

    Treatment Plan

Based on these findings, an individualised treatment plan is set out.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

The plan is carried out across sessions and progress is reviewed together; treatment is supported with home exercises and daily-life advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What happens at the first session?

At your first visit, your concerns are discussed and a physical assessment is carried out. Based on this assessment, the treatment process is planned, and the day and frequency of sessions are decided together. Treatment sessions begin after the assessment and planning.

How long does a session take?

A session takes around 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person, depending on the nature and duration of the complaint and the assessment findings. The expected course is discussed with you after the initial assessment.

When is manual therapy used?

It is used for musculoskeletal complaints such as lower back and neck pain, shoulder problems, and hip and knee problems, based on an individualised assessment. See the conditions page for details.

Is manual therapy painful?

Manual therapy is generally not a painful treatment. If pain or tenderness is felt during a technique, the treatment is adjusted to your feedback and tolerance.
